Meet Ben Grozier
Willing and able to help

My life in business started at a young age with my Dad, Robert being the third generation to run what is now the 80 year manufacturing business, Thomas Grozier and Son. They have supplied materials for everything from roller coasters to the Tunnel Boring Machines that cut oversized wormholes under Sydney. I'm proud to say that I helped mix tins of graphite as a teenager then later helped put the entire business into the cloud which allowed the company to be run from anywhere.
My childhood was a lifetime of tennis and after uni I went on to run the tennis programme at the Ravenswood School for Girls before relocating to the UK where I ran the Wilton Tennis Club, Wimbledon's tennis programme and was proud to see lessons taught grow by over 300% in 9 short months and stay at capacity for 5 years.
Returning to Australia after a year working in a surf travel business in Morocco, I took a position as Operations Manager for the Smith Family's annual Toy and Food Drive. This involved everything from co-ordinating corporate volunteers, to driving forklifts and managing budgets.
My first 'startup' was Teachers In Sport, a company that delivered professional development to PE Teachers. It bubbled along and let me get back into some classroom teaching on the side.
Then, in August 2011, whilst relief teaching shortly after arriving home from the U.K. I received 4 calls to work at the same school on the same day. Ridiculous! After scratching the surface with some questions to fellow educators a big problem emerged that needed a big solution. The problem? Literally millions of wasted phone calls being made every year to unavailable relief teachers by schools looking for last minute replacement staff. The solution? A unique application that allowed schools to not only view relief teacher availability in near real time but also a simple, automated and fast request process that allowed schools to secure their most preferred teachers in minutes (sometimes seconds) rather than hours.
Skip ahead 6 years and ClassCover.com.au now helps over 2000 schools and 50,000 teachers across 4 countries both secure and receive work in a highly efficient way via desktop and mobile apps.
